Press Release Body = Katherine Adorno who is a resident of California, USA decided to get her Appendix removal surgery (Laparoscopic Appendectomy) done in India. She had been suffering from appendicitis for the last two years. She had taken many medicines for pain but that brought only temporary relief. Her condition was worsening day by day. She was suffering from acute stomach ache and vomiting constantly. The pain disturbed her every day life. Her doctor advised her to undergo appendectomy surgery as a permanent solution to her problem.
Laproscopic appendectomy is a much less invasive procedure for patients who have been diagnosed with an acute appendicitis than is traditional surgery. The surgery can be completed in less than an hour in most cases. With traditional surgery, the appendix surgery is removed through a 3 to 4 inch long incision (cut) in the abdomen. The cut is made just below the ribs on the right side and goes to just below the waist. This is called open appendectomy. A newer way to remove the appendix is called laparoscopic appendectomy. With this surgery, a laproscope (a small, thin tube with a scope on the tip of it that is used to see the inside of your body) is used to remove the appendix. In most laproscopic appendectomies, surgeons operate through 3 small incisions (each ¼ to ½ inch) while watching an enlarged image of the patient's internal organs on a television monitor. In some cases, one of the small openings may be lengthened to 2 or 3 inches to complete the procedure the appendix is then taken out through one of the incisions.
Katherine Adorno learnt about Indian Health Guru Consultants by searching on the Internet for better options for her appendix surgery than were available in USA. She found that the wait for the surgery was too long and she could not even endure the thought of waiting so long. The second factor was cost. Being uninsured she couldn't afford the high cost of laproscopy surgery in USA. After learning about Indian Health Guru Consultant she e-mailed her medical reports to Dr. Dheeraj Bhojwani. Here is what she wants to say about her experience, "I am highly pleased with the prompt action that Dr. Dheeraj Bojwani took in my case. I received very quick replies to my e-mails. I got the answers as soon as I sent the mails. Thanks to Dr. Dheeraj, all formalities regarding my visa and travel arrangements and hotel stay were done at a lightening speed. When I reached Mumbai I was taken straight to the hospital. Dr. Dheeraj Bojwani was there to personally look after all the arrangements. The surgery was performed on the next day and in three days' time I was out of the hospital. I must especially thank Dr. Dheeraj for arranging my trip to India. My surgery and the holiday in India cost just a fraction of what I would have spent on the surgery in USA. The doctors who are comparable to the best in the field. They perform the surgeries in state of the art hospitals with the most modern equipments and skilled medical staff who speak English."
With the rising healthcare costs in the USA, the uninsured population has no choice but to look for better and cheaper health options in other countries especially India. India offers wonderful choices with cost effective surgery and beautiful tourist destinations. Dr Bojwani believes that these are some of the reasons because of which the number of patients traveling from USA to India is going to rise exponentially.
